To the OP, I would recommend swapping the 5 3/4" for some Hella H4 E-code housings, just expect close to $200 for all 4, but you will not be disappointed. The light control and output is definitely a cut above others.
Otherwise, pick some Autopal housings from e-bay, they are a clone of the original Bosch/Hella designs, and are a good value, just do not expect jewel-like quality. I have bought Bosch, Hella, and Autopal.
My #1 choice, Bosch hands-down, but they can run $100 ea, in comparison, the Autopal will run you $80 for all 4. The Hella are slightly more affordable than the Bosch, but still top quality, and are easier to find.
If you like performance lights, don't go cheap, you get what you pay for.
If you saw up-close the $100 reflector and a $25 reflector, the highly polished chrome coating, the glass precision, even the sealant used, you would understand.
H4 bulbs are more widely available, and there are many more options/brands than H1 bulbs.
There are +50, +90 bulbs for H4, as well as 55/60, 65/80w, 80/100w, etc in H4, H1s you are pretty much limited to 55w or 100w.
Additionally, I have had bad experiences with some very nice H1s in high moisture areas, such as where I live, the moisture was wicking into the housing, the best I could figure was the H1 wiring itself (silk-like hi-temp cord), and I did try everything to make them work, venting/not venting, silicone, etc. I have never had a problem with H4s, and have used them in all of my cars.
Here is one good source for Hella H4 conversion headlamps:

Here are some bulb options (mostly Hella) from the same reputable site:

Another great source of bulbs, specifically Osram +90 H4 bulbs (daybreakers), as well as Phillips Xtreme Power, the best prices I have found, these both are really the brightest 55/60w H4 bulbs I have used.
(www.candlepower.com) the site is not as user-friendly, but they have great stuff, and good customer service.

You can get a decent H4 wiring harness from SummitRacing.com, and yes, they are imported, but still decent. I would prefer a Bosch relay, but you can't argue when it's $30.
