FS 1967 Camaro Pro Touring G Machine

Absolutely no expense has been spared in building this high quality Pro Touring car that features excellent acceleration, handling, stopping, refined road manners, and great looks to match. The end product is an outstanding street car that is also very capable on the track.
The car was originally equipped with a 6 cylinder and a Powerglide, so no rare muscle cars were harmed in this build.

The list below highlights the parts that have gone into the build.

      Engine
Wegner Motorsports L92 (6.2L) balanced and blueprinted Wegner CNC cylinder heads 10.87:1 compression,
Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam (.585/.595 lift, 291/301 duration)
LS7 lifters, Comp Cams 3/8” Magnum pushrods
Precision Metalcraft fabricated aluminum intake, FAST 92mm TB, 42 lb injectors
      Pantera EFI ECU882C ECM
Champ pans baffled 5 ½ quart road race oil pan
      Stewart water pump
      ATI Super Damper
      Griffin aluminum radiator
      Wegner billet CNC valve covers
      Hooker Headers Ceramic coated
Custom fabricated Stainless 3” exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers
      Wegner billet accessory drive system
      599HP at 6800 rpm 505 lb/ft torque at 5600 rpm at flywheel
Ricks Stainless narrowed gas tank with Walbro 255 gph fuel pump
optima red top battery mounted in trunk
Engine compartment wiring painstakingly routed to be as hidden as possible

      Transmission
Tremec T56 6 speed built by Liberty’s Gears
Spec Stage 3 clutch and pressure plate
      ATS transmission cross member
Pro 5.0 shifter, Twist Machine billet lever
      Custom Strange Chrome-moly driveshaft
      Aluminum 2 piece driveshaft loop
Ford 9 inch rear end with Strange center section and 4:10 gears

      Front Suspension
DSE tubular A-arms upper and lower
      DSE coil over conversion
Koni coil over shocks with Afco 550 lb springs
DSE 1 1/8” hollow anti roll bar
Baer 6S six piston brakes with 14” 2 piece rotors

      Rear Suspension
      DSE Minitubs
      ridetech 4 link rear suspension
QA1 coil over shocks with 275 lb springs
      Fully welded sub frame connectors
PBR (Baer) with 13” 2 piece rotors

      Wheels / Tires
Kinesis K18R three piece forged wheels (18x8 front, 18x11 rear)
Falken Azenis tires (245/40ZR18 front, 315/30ZR18 rear)
      ARP long wheel studs

      Interior
      Recaro Pole Position seats
G Force 5 point cam lock harnesses
      Autometer Sport Comp gauges
Vintage Air Gen II Compac A/C and heat
      6 point roll cage
DSE select a speed wiper motor

      Exterior
      BASF Diamont Base/Clear -Victory Red
Glasstek Carbon Fiber 2” cowl induction hood
Ring Brothers Billet “airframe” hood hinges
Marquez billet taillights with American Autowire LEDs.
      Twist Machine Aluminum rear spoiler
Stock Camaro spoiler also goes with car and is painted to match
Stainless fastener kit from Prodigy Customs used on assembly

Front bumper bracket slots in fenders were eliminated. Firewall smoothed. Emblems, drip rail trim, wheel opening moldings, rocker trim and antenna hole were all eliminated and holes welded up. Trunk floor and fuel tank were modified to move the filler behind the rear license plate (like a 69 Camaro).

Car was media blasted to bare metal in 2008 and was found to be extremely solid. Full quarter panels had been installed by prior owner and by all appearances were professionally installed. The front fenders each received small (4”x4”) patch panels in the rear corners. There was no other rust found on the car.

It was painted in winter 2008-2009 in BASF Victory Red base/clear with a satin black bumblebee stripe on the nose. Wing window frames were re chromed as well as the rear bumper. All rubber seals are new. Glass is in great shape as is all stainless window trim.

The car works great whether you are carving up the twisty bits or cruising down the interstate. The double overdrive T56 transmission helps it deliver 20+ mpg on the highway. So much has gone into this project that it would be impossible to list it all. Please email with any specific questions you may have.

Thanks! It has been consigned to the Mecum Auction in Indianapolis this May so it is not for sale until May 18 when it rolls across the block.

The car is fresh off of a 14th place (of 36 cars) overall finish at optima's Faceoff at Road America including a 9th place finish in the road course competition. Autocross and Speed stop are not my strengths, and I am sure that the car is capable of more.

I have added as many details as I could to the original post. Please contact me if you have interest.

I just may have to change the interior and put a stereo in it to make it more appealing to the masses if it does not sell this time.
