      QA1 single adjustment settings

I am wondering what people are running their shock settings at for decent ride but good handling. I have just installed single adjustable qa1 star stockers on my 67 camaro and wondering what setting I need these on? Also when I installed the rear it seems my passenger side sits a little higher than the driver side. Could it be that the shocks haven't settled since I installed and let the lift down? I just installed last night and it looked to be a difference car seems to do that when I lift it until it settles back down. I bought shocks from a memeber but he didnt specify whether they were for mono or multi leaf. I have mono leaf but I check shock lengths against my cheap stock style shocks and they were exactly the same so I don't think this is an issue. Any help is appreciated and just curious on the setting to try. Thanks

We've been specifying QA1 single adjustables on a number of different cars. For the 18 click version, 4 or 5 from soft is pretty common for street use. One click from soft on both front and rear for drag use (mainly to help front extension and soften rear compression). Most of our cars are GM 4-link so your settings may deviate a bit. Just wanted to throw the general numbers to you...

And, ride height should be independent of a properly functioning shock. If you're still concerned you could click them to full soft and see if your ride height changes. Could be a bent shaft or something.

So the ride height is affected by the shock correct? I didn't think it was as long as the shock is functioning properly. I have read like 7 clicks up front and 5 in rear, but you are saying 5 all around? I have always had the old cheap shocks so this is new to me. The ride height may be the same I may have just been looking at it wrong or something. The shocks seem to be perfect and like brand new. When you say softest you are referring to as far as I can click them counterclockwise correct?

Oops, sorry for the confusion. What I meant was the ride height has nothing to do with a properly functioning shock. Springs set ride height.

We've been setting to 5 all around. If you need more control for heavy front springs, big block weight, etc. I'm sure you could go to 7.

On QA1, full CCW is full soft. Make sure you're careful when clicking. There's a tiny little detent in there that keeps the clicker from spinning too far. Don't break that off.

If you're street driving I'd just click until the ride is comfortable. When you get to the track/strip/auto-x you can start fine tuning.
