      Accumulator mounting ideas

Ok. So I am like 95% sure that the Pontiac engine I am going to build is going to be a wet sump. So I am going to run a Canton accusump. My question is I would like to mount it discretely. So since I am going to run a VA Gen IV set-up (which requires blocking off the outside vents), I am considering mounting it where the passenger side cowl panel is. Basically recessing it in that area. I was wondering if anyone had any picks of say a dry sump tank or an accusump deal mounted in that spot. I saw something similiar to this years ago in a Nova that I think that wheel to wheel or someone built in Michigan. I remember seeing the car in Car Craft magazine. Lastly, I am open to ideas so if you have any or pictures of creative ideas post them up.

I am thinking about putting mine in my trunk space. The length of hose needed to do the install is not much more and the packaging is a lot easier the more I keep weighing out the pros and cons of where to put it. Remember that it is a servicable item and may need to be accesssed / removed and replaced and putting it in a place by the vent area will be a pain.

Up front and down low by the steering linkage is a favorite place for a lot of cars.
