      1956 Ford Thunderbird interior refresh

Sharing some pictures of the '56 interior work. The 'Bird is a 5.0L EFI powered car so the ECU had to be tucked away in the passenger kick panel. The car had a white bench seat, ratted out carpet and the foam had some mouseholes too... a cracked steering wheel and the pictures show the rest... as for the smells... you had to be here!!

Ready for new carpet, pad, and upholstery from TBird HQ. The seat has a neat embossment on it, I see a lot of GM on this sight so here's a FORD....the colors are the proper green and white per the data plate interior trim when it was built. New foam was ordered for the seat. I dropped off the seat to Bell's Trim in Plano, Justin tore it down and then the seat frame and springs were cleaned up and painted. The car has a power seat, so the track/frame mount was given a clean coat of black paint. The two motors are still good, however one gearbox is stripped... Once the seat came back all fresh from the upholstery shop, wow it looked great. The foam is just right, sits well and looks perfect.
