      setting up shockwave ???

while i am going to be setting up my shockwave setup i have two options and i am not sure which way i should go. i bought a ridetech pro e3 setup but i need to either buy the e3 controller( not sure how much just for the controller, which did not come with it,bought it used.) to get the setup working or run it on manual mode with switches and gauges. i was weary about running the computor and was thinking that the manual mode with two psi gauges and 4 switches would be easier and just as reliable. i am not running the level sensors.. i do have them but is the benefits of having the level sensors weigh off not having them. do i set up my ride height by psi in the bags? i run shockwaves in the front and coolride bags in the back. This will be a real nice driver that i will bring to the cruises to air it down show off the stance and air it back up and like to take it to a few autocrosses..
Thanks in advance for your help and advice..

It's my understanding that with the sensor and the e3 system installed it adjusts itself to your desired ride height even if the load changes. So If you have a few chunky friends riding with you the system will auto adjust on its own. No guess work needed by you to adjust, like you would have to do with switches and a psi gauge.

i think i would like the digital display i just have to find out the cost another controller. i have the e3 setup and it is all prewired but no controller. i dont mind having to adjust it manually. i really need to contact ridetech and see the cost of a controller.

Ride height should be set by the working height of the airspring (which will depend on which one you have), since psi can vary; give our tech guys a call at 812-481-4787 and they can help you out with setting the ride height and assist with getting you the controller parts you need. Thanks!!

      Setting Height:
Amber is correct, you set the height of the vehicle based on the installed height of the air spring. It may take 50psi, it may take 110psi, just depends on how much the vehicle weighs.

      Control Panel:
The digital display for the e3 lists at $300.00.

      Analog Control:
You could purchase an analog kit like this:
      http://www.ridetech.com/store/4-way-...rol-panel.html

However, the analog kit runs $250, so you might as well buy the e3 digital control, then you have the presets and everything else.

      Height Sensors or not:
By adding height sensors the e3 can calculate load, so it can adjust back to the proper height regardless of pressure. Take this example: for easy math we are going to say the car takes 100psi in all four corners at ride height with only the driver in the car. If you add 3 passengers (one riding shotgun and two in the back) the rear pressure will go up as the load has increased, lets say to 110psi. If you are running air pressure only the system will deflate the air springs back to 100psi, which in turn lowers the vehicle further. If you have level sensors the e3 knows it's too low and raises the vehicle back to the correct height, even though the pressure will be higher than what it saved as the preset.
