      GM Techs help with Acadia

Our Acadia is acting strange. The power steering quits while driving followed by service stabilitak, service traction control, service power steering. Any Ideas? Got to be a sensor blimp somewhere, because after you shut is off it resets and your good again for a while.

You really need a scanner...GM tech 2 is the best. Might have to go to the dealer and have them diagnose then you can do the fix. The canbus in the new GM vehicles is VERY complex!

Customer Concern: The Service Power Steering message is displayed. Antilock Brake System (ABS) DTC C0450.
      Average Reported Mileage: 51234
Tests/Procedures: 1. Check the wiring harness for the Power Steering Actuator near the left side half shaft. Inspect for damaged wires at the power steering gear to the Magnasteer actuator. Brown and White wires.

      2. If the harness is OK, disconnect the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). Ohm check the Power Steering Actuator between pin 5, a White wire and pin 28, a Brown wire. The resistance should be 5 - 10 ohms. Repair as required.

      3. Clear the DTCs. Testdrive the vehicle.

      4. If the DTC clears but the message or lights remain on, refer to GM PIT4665C for clearing procedures.
