      drip rail seam sealing

Should the 3m two part seam sealer be put on bare metal and then primed or primed and then the sealer?
      Thanks

Most seam sealers I've dealt with went on bare metal. but check the technical data sheet (should be available on the 3M website) for the particular seam sealer your using to be sure.

Seam sealer does not have a rust preventative. It is not meant for a direct to metal use. It just stops the penetration of water/moisture. I would definitely do it over the primer. Plus it looks better that way.
