      HHR Customs

Tell me what you guys think of GMs new retro.Styled after the 49 suburban. To give the new car a huge start up. GM went out and had 5 different custom shops do build ups.Everything from Urban street to Nascar inspired. My favorite is the LS1 V8 in the Year One Version.

I like it. It is a shame GM waited til now to produce it, kinda looks like they are coping the PT Cruiser. One of those with a LS1 should get your attention though.

I agree, I like them, but I think the PT Cruiser copy is gonna be its label. Yet it is still pretty distinct from the PT, its not going to get past that. But I do like those mock ups.

      Thanks

      Yes.

But no. They're appealing in the exact same way the PT is appealing.

Now... V8 and RWD would make these a PT-killer.

Jeebus, GM even copied the roll out!! Chrysler did the exact same thing with the PT, gave them to pro customizers. The damn things were an infestation by the 2001 Power Tour.

      Pathetic.

You would think they would at least has the SSR nose on them. They look too much like the PT Cruiser. It would have been real cool to see one done up like a woody with the surf boards.

      Hmmmm..

My biggest gripe with the PT Cruiser, and this one as well I think, is that when I saw the PT for the first time it was photographed in the sand on a beach. This setting did not offer any scale reference. The point being was that my "impression" was of a fullsized, old school panel truck/van. The fact that it was full sized and a mega cruiser made all the difference to me. When I saw it on the street and it was tiny I was very disappointed. After seeing the PT copiously since it's release, I hate them now. I just looked at the last link in the first thread and this Chevy version is tiny as well!! OH GOD not again!!

I'd like a fullsized, mega cruizer, LSX(doesn't need to be real fast), with a chopped top, dark tints, and fuzzy dice! LOL Maybe not the dice but you know what I mean. Oh and I'd also like OPEC to throw the world a bone on their oil monopoly!
