      Powder coating the trim

      I'm thinking about getting all of my trim powder coated black and was curious if anyone has done this or have any pics on a 1st gen?

      I haven't seen it done, but if you want to see what it will look like get some wide black electrical tape and go to town. It will give you an idea about how it will look and is easy to remove if you don't like it.

      Yeah, I saw Jon's car but was hoping that their was a Camaro out there with it done. I think it would look really good against my forest green. When I get back from holiday travels I'm gonna do the tape trick and throw up the pics.

      Have you considered hydrographics since the thickness of the powder coating may cause fitment issues on overlapping parts like the corners of the windows?

      it can be done easily. have it done on a chevyII. looks great. powdercoating that is.

      I have powder coated trim for many customers, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures. But it does turn out looking great!

      I like the black window trims....my panel shop guys talked me into going satin black on the trims on my 71 Firebird. Won't know for a couple of week how it looks, but I'm thinking it'll work well.
