      5.0 belt help

I have put a 5.0 HO style 347 stroker into my 1966 mustang coupe. I need help with the serpentine belt. I am only running the water pump and alternator. I cannot find a belt short enough at the local parts house. Any suggestions?

On KRCs website they list several short serpentine belts, see here: http://www.krcpower.com/catalog_c269950.html
You could use the part numbers to try and find it locally. I was able to get one from NAPA this way as KRC was out of the belt I needed.

      Jeff,
The last 3 digits on the belt # are the length in inches. Measure what you need with a string, and then you can use that with the rest of the part# to order a belt.

Better yet if its 6 rib serp belt just cut an old one and route it the way you want with adjuster at shortest point, wrap cut end over and trace with pen the staple it together and local shops should be able to measure it no issue,, unless your trying to run one they DONT make.

If you are lucky enough to have a decent parts store/guy then they could find you one in a buyers guide. When I needed my last custom size I googled it and ordered one online. I'm not sure if you know this or not but the part number is usually the belt length in centimeters (cm). For example the 3pk495 in the below link is 495 cm/25.4 = 19.5 inches. Just measure your required length and calculate it in cm. google the number and you should find what you need.
