63 Nova factory under dash unit

This is a little off-topic, but I picked up a 63 convertible this weekend to build for the wife. In the trunk I found an original under dash factory unit that I will not use as I am not worried about purity. I was wondering if some of you Nova guys might have an idea what this unit is worth or if it is worth listing on Ebay or something. A buddy of mine told me they fetch some pretty good money.

      Thanks,
      Jim

I have seen them go in the $150-$250 range. Usually they are missing a knob, vents cracked, etc. and are in need of attention therefore not really bringing in any big money.

A friend of mine just bought one in very good cosmetic condition for $125 (rare deal though) and will be running the Vintage Air GEN IV unit and just using the stock underdash unit as his source of vents (basically gut it, and now just blow the modern day cold air/heat through it). Kinda COOL as you can retain the classic appeal with the benefits of the new AC technoligy!

BUT....if yours is super clean and fully in tact.....and a guy/buyer/builder happens to be in need of one of these stock AC units to complete his "stock type" restoration, who knows it could bring $500?

I hope this helps even though it is kinda all over the place....that just seems to be the way these type parts are. You may want to list over on STEVES NOVA SITE.

BADDRIDE II, it does help a lot. I figured in that general price range.....however I never even thought about routing a Gen IV unit through it. I think I might just keep it until the air install and possibly go that route. Thanks for passing the info on, that is exactly the kind of info I needed. If it works it will look pretty cool!

When my friend gets his done I will get some shots of it and post here for you to check out. It may be a few months or so. I think will be very cool!
