4th gen firebird headlight control module

Perhaps one of you gentlemen can answer the question.

I'm going to use the 4th gen engine bay power harness from a trans am in my 67 Camaro Rally sport swap. There is a module that runs the headlight doors connected to the fuse block. I'm thinking maybe I can use that to operate my RS doors (also electric). Does anyone know how that works or have any diagrams of what the outputs are? Good idea or not?

On the 67, it uses limit switchs at the end of travel of the doors, however I think the 4th gen uses motor resistance?

      Thoughts?

I used that module and 4th gen motors for my '69 RS doors. The module senses the current increase when fully open or closed and then shuts off the motor. It works great. I had to use 2 diodes to interface to the high and low beam headlight circuit for actuation. You can do some internet searches for schematics.

you used the 4th gen motors? and can you provide details on the diodes?

I'm fairly sure those motors are matched to the operation of that module. The current sensing threshold would be different with different motors. I'll look thru my notes for the diode info and possibly a hand-drawn schematic.
