      gforce transmission

I have a gforce in my new ride - clutchless - 4 speed for road racing - its amazing - i highly recommend them - handles a lot of power - shifts flawlessly and smoothly and most importantly easily up to 14k rpm. its really amazing and i will not go back to anything other than this now.

      check it out.

Killer vids... what are the motor specs in that car? It sounds like you are just downshifting without rev matching there, correct? I couldn't hear it if you were. I am gonna be taking my Tex Racing dog box out on the road course soon for the first time.

its a penske ilmoor full cup motor - 720 hp - I have the smaller holley carb on it. didnt need 850 hp for it at my level.

yeah I am not rev matching very well - am somewhat but you can pretty much just shift gears - its an amazing transmission. did you have to do any tunnel mods on your car when you put it in? what all did you have to change? I want to take my tko 600 out (that I just had carbon fiber upgrades in and only have about 20 miles on it :( but this new one has absolutely spoiled me.

just need to know if it was easy

Wow awesome motor. I eventually would like to put an SB2 based motor in mine. I only have about 550hp now.

I don't know about the GForce, but the Tex Racing trans shares the same case size as the Muncie/T-10 so it was a fairly simple swap from the M-21 I had before. Only had to cut out some space on the driver side of the tunnel to accommodate the beefier shift rods.

I love the Tex so far but I've only practiced shifting on the street. Need to get on a track!

disregard the speed on the inset- its running at 160 on the back straight according to the radar gun confirmed by a estimated speed calculator based on ratios I had it up to 175 and it was super stable. that was at 8500 rpms. I have it rev limited there so I dont have to change the springs all the time.

tex was bought out by gforce. I just call them gforce - but yes they are technically called tex. its all under the gforce corporate lable though. same one. I figured i would ahve to but the tunnel on the left side to accomodat those side shifter rods

I know about the Tex/GForce thing, but I call mine a Tex because it was built before the acquisition. I got mine as a freshly rebuilt unit from Nascar country off craigslist in Kentucky.

What ratios are in yours? Your video makes me wanna get out and drive! And I could tell that speedo was way off -- you were haulin the mail!
