I hesitate to even call these guys "street racers". More likely, just two spoiled brat rich kids, or some gold chainers who bought a Corvette as a status symbol. I have been out of the street racing scene for about 12 years, and while I have seen some stupid moves, most at least have the good sense to do it in a deserted industrial complex, or some other area that can be more controlled.

I'm all for doing it at the track, but even here in the Atlanta area you'd have to drive an hour and a half to get to a sanctioned 1/4 mile track, and nearly as long to get to an 1/8th mile track, so its not like they are everywhere. Its funny, as a kid I was forbidden from taking my car to the drag strip, but I street raced it on a deserted road practially every weekend. Granted, that was nearly 30 years ago, in a rural county of less than 10k people.
