11 inch drum upgrade from MASTER BRAKES

Saw an article on CHP for a rear drum brake upgrade and was wondering if anyone ever used this setup? MASTER BRAKES sells an 11 INCH completely assembled drum brake package that they say is a world of difference over the 9 inch stock setup. Since my rear drums are suspect in another problem I am having and the price is right over discs at 395 complete. I am thinking of doing this swap. Any one ever use it? Any comments are appreciated.

      Thanks

Well, they would say that, wouldn't they?
I have a rearend out of a '77 Bonneville(non c-clip 10 bolt!) that came stock with 11" drums. I completely rebuilt them for under $100. Can't tell you how they work, cause the car isn't running yet. If you could find a set in the junkyard, they'd be a good deal, but for 400 bucks, I think I would look at the LS Camaro rear discs.

The wheel cylinder bore is slightly larger than the 9" one, which will increase rear bias slightly-careful that it's not too much for your setup. Probably still easier than dialing in a rear disc setup correctly.

Before I upgraded to rear discs, I picked up one of the MP 11" drum kits from a friend that never installed them. I didn't see ANY difference at all. Save your $$$ and install discs all around.
