I considered buying a lift from HF but rented one instead from Redtail for only $20. You only need it to pull the motor and then the motor ends up on a stand. I just returned the rental later the same day.
I'll rent it again to put the motor back in and I'm out only $40. Their hoist is better than what I would be willing to buy for how little I'll use it. Just my thoughts...
