      electrochromic rear view mirror

Has anyone tried to install a modern electrochromic rear view mirror in a 1969 Camaro. They're the kind of mirror that responds to bright lights and automatically dim. Some have a compass and temperature display, or even map lights built in. YearOne carries them http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/f...rror&SM=1&SC=8

I believe they're normally mounted to the windshield, but I'm wondering what to do with the old mounting location. I'd like to mount in the original location if possible, but will need to modify the mount and still provide a place for the sun visor to clip in.

Thanks for the response John, but I'm not sure I follow. Are you talking about the electrical connection or the mechanical connection?

An instructor from my Firestone drivability calss had one from a Ford, had swapped it from several cars and it only had like 4 or 5 wires, auto dimmed and had compass in it.
