M/T Sportsman S/R? Ever used it?

Has anybody ever run this tire for their mini-tub modifications?

Looks to work? What are the thoughts on the size? 28X12.00R18LT....or would you need something wider? to get the look and performance of a 335 or 325?

That's almost as wide as a 335, but the aspect ratio is bit tall. A 335-30-18 tire is about 26" tall. These tires will not handle like michelin pilot or Kumho or Toyo, however, so you may want to reconsider if you plan an any hard driving. This is more of a street oriented tire.

no where near a 335. they are the same width as a 295 at 11.6" section width. notice that they are measured on a 10" wide rim also?

Good for looks and cruising, not a corner burning PT tire.

Its a good street radial, and should be mounted on a 10" rim. Sure, we've built wheels for mini tub'd cars that are 18x10s and run 295-305 wide tires to help save guys some $$ on widening a two piece wheel to 11s or 12s, so the important thing is ask yourself what kind of driving you are going to be doing, and how much do you want to spend on wheels and tires, and plan accordingly.
