Hello all, just wondering off anyone knows about these brakes offered be Ground Up. They're supposed to bee made by The Right Stuff. I'll give them a call tomorrow to find out a little more info.

the Right stuff Detailing company make very good reproduction (Stock Style) brake systems with tons of upgrade packages I.E. powdercoating, stainless steel lines, drill and slotted, chrome and so on, I'm sure that there new "Signature" stuff works well also

I received a front and rear kit today. The fronts look identical to the older Baer PBR calipers. I will be installing the kit on a 68 I picked up, over the next couple days. I will post pics once everything is said and done. If anyone has any questions feel free to call me at the shop.

I finally made the call and spoke to Bear at The Right Stuff. Apparently the calipers are from a 2002 Cobra with 13/12 inch rotors. Anyone have an opinion on this set versus C5/C6 (non Z06)? I have a 70 chevelle, Speedtech Track Time suspension kit with QA1 coilovers. Car will be mostly street driven, I'd like to autocross and track the car as well, haven't decided on wheels yet until I decide on brakes. I kinda feel bad even considering a Ford product on my car...

It's a PBR caliper, who cares what application it originated from? I'm not sure if they used that casting with any other OEM's, but it's entirely possible. The 1999-2003 Mustang Cobra front calipers are similar to the C5 in terms of their being a pin-guided design, however they do have larger twin-45mm pistons versus twin-40.5mm and I'm not sure whether they're gravity cast or pressure cast like the C5/C6 calipers. Similar pad volumes between the two, however the Mustang uses substantially lighter/thinner rotors at 26mm versus 32mm. The body design actually more closely resembles the 1998-2002 LS1 F-body front calipers as they don't have the full length stiffening ribs across the bridge, probably for increased wheel fitment options if I had to guess.

I bought a 4 wheel big brake 'signature' kit from Matt's Bowtie, 13/12" rotors with PBR cobra calipers; it is good quality and everything fits perfectly so far.
It is also lightweight which is always a good point, with aluminium hubs and aluminium calipers.

Like most have already said. The Right Stuff guys are excellent to deal with. I know Dave the owner personally, they strive to put out a great product. They will have some complete upgraded bolt in subframes coming out also, another friend of mine is building those for Right Stuff.

Well I can tell you that I bought the front and rear SIGNATURE SERIES brake kit for my 68. Only problem is I have a 9 INCH REAR END in the car and they dont make a kit in the SIGNATURE SERIES for the 9 inch rear.. BUT I have been chosen to be the test customer to see if what they are working on will work for the 9 inch application.. Been working with Frank at Prodigy Customs and although I have run into a couple of minor quirks, we are very confident that what they will have will work. So all of you looking for that 9 inch rear application are gonna have to wait till Im done putting it together.... unless you want to come over and give me a hand!!(hint hint!!) Nice to know I will have the first one ever made though... I guess! LOL.

We are working with Right Stuff to get it done, it will happen but its going to be awhile!

When you are dealing with life saftey parts there is no rushing or cutting corners and if there was, Right Stuff wouldn't do it!!!

I am slowly working on my setup but can tell you so far so good. I am using ridetech spindles with the TRUTURN system and can tell you that so far the fitment is working great. Because of the way ridetech makes their spindles with that arm I dont have to remove the bolt from the steering arm, I just use the hole above it and the top hole. Only problem I am having right now is getting the brake pads to fit into the caliper which when I read the instructions dont make sense. They keep talking about a "hole" in the brake pad backing plate which my pads DO NOT HAVE.. Assuming from looking up the part number on the web that they sent me the WRONG front brake pads.. no big deal gonna call them today to have them send another set. AS FAR AS THE NINE INCH REAR SIGNATURE KIT goes.... Ive mocked everything up and on the surface it looks like it will work out GREAT!! You will need to do a couple of things but I plan on writing a detailed install with pics once I am done. Taking pics along the way is slowing me up, that and the usual stuff.. work, kids, wife, etc... but should be awesome.

for less than 500$. Easy install, everything fit and installed as advertised. Nice hardware, I have no
reservations recomending this kit.

One question.
How do they work for you?
I am looking to make my car safer than 1971 technology, and want to add 4 wheel disc brakes. but I want something that I know will work in a panic situation.
Do these brakes work as well as your newer DD? Better? Worse?

Never Mind...
They only make the rears for 2nd Gen Camaros, not the front.

They are workng on the front but no release date. I can set you up with several other packages, send me a PM with what you plan to use the car for and an idea of budget to see what we can put together!
