New guy with LS1 powered '70 Corvette

I figured that I'd introduce myself. My name's Matt and I "finished" my 1970 Corvette LS1 / T56 install a little over a year ago. I've owned the car over 12 years, did a body-off resto about 7 years ago, and finally decided to do the LS1 last year. There's still more work to do on the car including paint, fender flares, 17" wheels, and a few more suspension tweaks here and there. Here are a couple of pictures:

I'm one of 4 moderators of the Conversions & Hybrids forum at LS1Tech so I may be able to help out with LS1 related questions. I have a few future projects in mind, so I'll be around collecting information and doing some early planning.

Nice car man! Welcome. I'll be looking forward to your tech support in other parts of this forum as I may be headed that direction. :icon996:

Hello from former '70 vette owner. Always liked the '68-'72's, but I also always wanted a Daytona vette too.

Mine had a 420 stroker small block with all kinds of goodies. Good for 510 WHP and 500 WTQ. Here's what mine looked like back in '98. Sorry for the crappy pic, scanned Poloroid... all I could afford after building that motor, LOL!

      Thanks guys.

Pat: Hey... good to see you over here too.
bnoon: They always look good in red. What are those wheels?
Ralph: It has a TR224 cam, stock LS1 heads, and a few trick parts bolted on.
      Bill: Replied to your PM.

15X8 chrome steelies with matching baby moon hubcaps. I ordered them from Summit at the same time I ordered my large by wide port AFR heads for the stroker 420 shortblock. If I remember right, the rims were only 40-50 bucks each back then and are still about the same price now. To bad they weighed about 35-40 pounds each!!!
