      Spray Expandable Sound Deadner

A friend of mine works for one of the big three and was telling me about this expanding foam stuff that gets sprayed into the voids of new cars. I remember seeing a FORD commercial about the F150 and how they fill in the rockers, A and C pillars to remove the sound.

Does anyone know what this stuff is called, where to get it, etc etc?

I'm planning to use Second Skin on my project but I'd also like to fill in these voids as well.

I wonder if it's the same as 'Great Stuff' spray foam for filling in around windows at home...

Highly doubtful as great stuff is flammable and the automotive stuff is not. This stuff is also known as acoustic foam for NVH voids.

Bump anyone else know? I've been reading about a product called "PUR foam" but cannot find a place to purchase.

There have been threads in the truck forums, about guys filling their cab corners with Great stuf, only to have it cause rust at a much higher rate.

What about this stuff? Is it going to trap moisture, and caue our cars to rot from the inside out?
