I would use the brakes, engine, tranny, torque arm and rearend. People say that the 7.5" 10 bolt doesnt hold up well to higher hp but if your not leaving hard on slicks I dont think it would be a problem. Also something to keep in mind is that the 4th gen camaros wheelbase is 7" shorter than a 1st gen so you would need some custom mount for the torque arm up front. You might even get lucky and the forward chassis mounts for the lca might fit in the front hole for the leaf spring. Best of luck with your project!

I have to say the rear in your newer camaro is junk. Don't waste your time. Not only is it a different width but it's weak. I was looking at that same swap but when I pulled mine apart for inspection I decided to go no further. This was on a stock ls1 car FWIW

im going to have to run my powerglide for a while before i get to put the motor and transmission in. so i would probably be better off keeping my rear end and deciding on a new suspension.

I think that is pretty nice. Looks good. Do you like it and recommend doing it?

If this Mustang ever stops requireing every waking moment of my time, I will. As soon as I get back from RTTH, I'm all over it.

If I ever finish it, I think it will work very well. Limited applications though, the upper control arms are so high, that they would pop out the top of my hood on the Mustang. That car started with a Fatman subframe, when I got it it was such a pos, so out of square that I had to cut it up to square the body mounts and suspension points, and it kind of snowballed like everything that I do. It is doable, but it would be easier to call Detroit Speed or Jake, (which weren't avalible way back when)

Yeah I probably need to just buy something for the front. Just wanting to recycle as many parts as I can off the 01 but I don't have the know how to go as far as you did.
