L92 with LS3 intake vacuum quesion

I just helped a buddy put an L92 with a LS3 intake in his 68 Camaro. We need help plugging unused/unneeded vacuum ports on the intake and breather tubes from the valve covers . Could someone tell me which ones have to be used and what to hook them to? We don't need vacuum for brakes since we installed hydraboost brakes.

It depends on if you are going to use a pcv system, pcv system with an oil catch can or just valve cover breathers. What set up are yall planning on running? Stock or modified.

1981silverz28 - Shortly I'll be doing an L92 swap into a 68 camaro. How did you go with fitting the L92 under the hood? I guess you had a stock subframe? What type of hood? Any clearance issues with the alternater? Do you think the LS3 intake was necessary for clearance? I have a 2" cowl hood...

Thanks for any help in advance

I just did a swap using stock truck accessories in my '69 and i also have a steel 2" Cowl hood. the hood will close, but will rub on the top of the alternator a lot while driving. I had to switch to 105AMP truck alternator, it is physically much smaller and 4lbs lighter too.

Both of my valve cover vents are open to atmosphere. Shhhhh...don't tell.

Well the drivers side valve cover breather is supposed to go to the passenger side of the intake manifold right after the throttle body, there is a port there for it.

The passenger side valve cover breather is supposed to get attached to your intake tube after your MAF so that the MAF is reading the correct amount of metered air. (Between MAF and throttle body)

The EGR on the drivers side front of the intake near the throttle body can be capped off and the same with the vacuum source at the rear of the intake manifold.

12 Sec - thanks for the reply. I'll see if I can get away with changing the alternator bracket to lower it. Did you keep the stock L92 intake? How is the clearance?

I think you've got this backwards, could someone double check this?

Nevermind, brain fart. Mine is hooked up same as below....

That would be the correct way to route the hoses. Keep in mind the pcv valve goes in the hose that attaches to the manifold (vacuum at idle/part throttle) and the driver valve cover. Attached is an image that includes a catch can but it will give you the idea. Are you running an ls6, ls2 or ls3 valley cover?
