more weight just means more reason to go for that bigger engine... horsepower and torque will cure everything... lol

On the street yeah maybe. Anything performance related except maybe drag racing then nope.

EDIT: FYI I do have my entire floorboard, firewall, doors and quarters done but I'm not sure I would do it again. Never drove the car without the stuff so I can't say for sure, but I get so much wind noise through the windows that I don't know that it made much difference.
