Moving right along. 1970 Camaro

Hey fellow car nuts,

I have a 1970 Camaro that is moving right along. I just got it back from paint, and I am now about to start the rest of the build. I fully realize I went "backwards" by doing the paint first, but made a "buddy" deal with my painter, and he has been good to his word. I am very pleased with the result, and can't wait to move on to the rest of the car.

What I started with.

I traded a guy a 1989 Mustang project car I had for this car. When I got it, there were some obvious issues with a couple of old fender benders, a sunroof (that I did not like) and a noticeable tick in the bottom end of the 350.

Since that time, I have replaced the top, fixed the fender bender issues, fixed some rust issues in the trunk (could not find any other rust on the car), and put exhaust on the car (sounds great now). I have ordered the interior I am going to put in it later. I am planning on the cage and subframe connectors before I put the interior back in the car. I painted the car with a two toned look as a tribute to my past vehicles, and a personal connection with my Grandfather who used to own an Exxon Station, and loved two toned hot rods.

After the interior, I am going to move on to the suspension, brakes (discs in the rear-suggestions wanted), and then engine/trans. I am hoping for a really fun street car that I can enjoy with my son and daughter (9 and 7 now).

This is my first venture in to the hotrod Chevy world. I have had several fast fords in the past (one magazine fox body), but never a Chevy hotrod. However, I have always wanted a 1970-1973 Camaro, so I am having a lot of fun with this project.

Welcome! Another TEXAN here. Ft Worth area.
The paint looks great, I will try and keep up with your build as I am doing an LS swap in the near future. So lots of picture.
