      496 Overheating

Thinking of installing a 2004 496 in a Chevelle, Should I be worried about overheating.
My dad had a 396 & he says it wasn't good for cruising due to overheating.
      Any Info would help
      Thanks

I have a MarkIV 496 in a 68 Camaro....Ron Davis Radiator keeps the temps perfect!

Use a good quality radiator with high volume fans.

Prodigy has a good package I understand too that is more cost affective.

The days of heating problems being the achilies heel of hot rods is over. Unless you make over 1000 hp, you can follow a simple recipe. I have used it for the last 4 cars I have built with great success.

      -Griffin/Davis/Be Cool Radiator
-Edelbrock water pump- better water balance and no cavitation
      -160 thermostat
-puller fans totalling 3000 cfm or more
-good tune on the engine with stable air/fuel numbers
