Inner Door Mechanism Diagram
HEY MY CARS STARTS!! But alas another problem(it never ends does it) Went to open my door and ping, I heard something inside pop. Tried to open the door and nothing. Tried to open it from the outside and again, nothing. SO I had to work the panel off with the door closed and pry the lever over so that I could open the door. I found a couple of little springy things but dont have a clue where they go or if they are pieces or the actual part that fell out. Hence I need a diagram that will show me the inner workings of a 69 door relating to opening it from the inside/outside and locking mechanism. Any one have one they can scan for me out of a book or on a site somewhere?

What fell off is the little [round I think] spring that moves the outside door handle lever back to the full released position after the button is pressed. You can buy just the springs but I would take the latches out and clean and re-grease them at least. Also you can push the ouside part of the latch back out with the panel on but it's not easy. FRANK
