      Question:

Has anybody sprayed PPG Waterborne Paint and what are your thoughts?

      Thanks

I haven't personally sprayed this, I'm just a body man, but it was used at the last shop I was at. One of the painters there said, if he had his way, he'd NEVER go back to solvent based paint. Said it was easier to match, and the dry times are quicker because you sit there and blow it off with an air gun to speed up the process. Said overall it was just easier to work with.

We use Nexta waterborne paint at the shop I'm at now. I haven't heard much from the painters on the system though. The shop owner even went as far as to have this turbo air system installed in both booths. It creates a little hurricane of air so you don't have to sit there waving a gun around. lol

The PPG and the Nexxa Aquabase are exactly the same product. PPG owns Nexxa. They are both made in the same factory in Milan.

I am a tech. rep. for a large jobber that sells PPG. I have over twenty shops currently using water and all say the same as I do. I NEVER want to spray solvent again! Color match, speed, the way it lays down so smooth. It is just a better product.

If you have any questions shoot me a pm.
