Is it OK... would you do it?

HI, just put rockers and floor in my 67 camaro... first time for me, learned alot!
Now I am getting ready to do mini tubs. Well i realized they might be easier to deal with if i cut the trunk floor out (i have to replace it anyway)

the car is disassembled no frame, suspension, nothing just a clip with Glass and doors.

can i do both at the same time or is this too risky (aka loose shape)

From a place you will not see comes a sound you will not hear....

Are you replacing rails as well? I would say use alot of flat stock and angle iron and brace the rails to hold everything in place. Another consideration is if you are removing the tailpan and valance. Also, are you doing a partial pan or the full pan?

If qtr's and tail panel are still on then you should have no issues, if they are removed already then I would brace it up as stated ^^^ above. Are you replacing with stock floor or are you making your own floor. Either way it would be easyer to do the tubs with the floor removed then you can trim to fit the new floor with it out of the car and make it fit that much nicer. Good luck and don't for get we love pictures!!

If you're leaving quarters,t/l panel and frame rails alone, you'll be fine cutting the floor out, no need for bracing

Sorry .. let me clarify... i already replaced the floor one piece dynacorn unit..its in and welded.. no I am going to to the tubs... the rest of the car is complete.. 1/4's tail pan.. .

asking if i cut the trunk floor center.. leaving the braces in that the gas tank mount to... then cut do Mini- tubs.. then put a replacement trunk patch panel in..

Do the trunk pan first then use the DSE templates to cut trunk pan after installed. The templates line up off of the current wheel wells, so that's how I would do it.

You will do just fine if you managed to replace rockers and front floor. Are you using DSE tubs?
