      65 GTO LS1 upgrade

Last year I rushed to get my father/son 65 GTO completed. We brought it to RTTH and when he saw how many cars had a LS motor he fell in love with the daily driver idea. So we found a donor car and completed a swap. Switched out the 389 tripower for a 5.7 ls1.
It has a ls6 hot cam/ intake tune mid length headers( After 3 different header issues) made 376rwhp. Swapped a t56 in tight under the floor. Tightly
We also installed some new gauges in the dash Paul Falcon of LSexcitement really knows all the do's and do nots when completing LS swaps. He exceeded our expectations.

Looks great. It's awesome to have a classic car that runs like a new car, isn't it?

He and I both love that aspect. He was going to get a trailer, but not much of a need for it.

Very cool. What motor mounts, headers & oil pan are you using? I have a 64 Lemans I am building. The plan was to keep it original, but it is very tempting to do an Ls motor. Thanks Eric

We used edelbrock mid lengths, with corvette oil pan and edelbrock engine mounts, it was a pain to find what headers would fit without hitting upper arm mounts. We went through 3 different ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong but those look like Boss 338's. Probably 18x8. Cool wheel and a great price on them!!

On the boss wheels hard to beat for the price. I think I'm wrong on the oil pan, so do not quote me.
Paul would be the man to ask at lsxcitement
