      Spectre Air Intake Kit

Thought I'd give it a try, I just finished installing a Spectre cold air intake kit. The install wasn't bad, instructions weren't that good but it's a pretty basic install. The only problem was I had to buy two diffrent plenums since the first one caused the tube to hit the side of my master cylinder.

I've have that Edelbrock carb. for about 10 years now. Has never been rebuilt, and I have not had any trouble with it. For the intake, I haven't got the car out to see if I can notice any power gain or not.

Wanted to post a few pictures of the current Spectre 900272 kit for 67-69 Camaro. I assumed when I ordered mine it would be exactly like the one pictured above but once it arrived I discovered there have been changes made to it. The tubes are no longer one piece, the lower radius turns by the heat shields have now been replaced with cheesy looking rubber boots. The nice clamps pictured above are no longer included either. Now you receive more of just a large hose clamp. There were also some changes to the heat shields themselves. Don't get me wrong, its still a nice cold air kit, just not exactly what I was expecting to receive. I much prefer the original design pictured above. I guess for $500 and a month for delivery I expected more of a show quality piece.
