generic sound control products

Does anyone here know of generic alternatives for the sound control products on the market? I'm referring to mass loaded vinyl and closed cell foam in particular. I realize I'm more than likely going to be substituting lower quality for cheaper price but considering I'm not made of money and the vehicle in question will be a crew cab chevy, I'm ok with not going broke to quiet the truck down. I'm good when it comes to the dampening products just not so good with the foam and vinyl stuff.

So far I have searched McMaster Carr and have found many selections of closed cell foam. I've found a rather heavy neoprene foam that I think will work well but honestly, I don't know and I'd be taking a gamble. That's why I am hoping someone else has done this and can guide me and others looking to save money. The biggest issue with the mass loaded vinyl is the cost of shipping. At 1lb/ft^2, enough MLV to do the truck will cost a fortune to ship. So anyone know what type of store might carry something like that in case I can pick it up locally?
