Quarter panel replacement around St. Louis

I have talked to a few local restoration shops about finishing the quarter panel installation on my '69 Camaro and media blasting the body shell. Does anyone have any experience/opinions with these shops?

Doug Jenkins Garage in House Springs
Dave's Vintage Restoration in St. Charles
      Precision Restoration in St. Louis
      Duello Restoration in Wentzville

Any suggestions of other quality shops within reasonable distance of St. Louis would be very helpful.

      Thanks,

      Nathan

I would stay away from Doug Jenkins. I toured their shop when it was on Forest Park Parkway and was not impressed and I've heard stories from former employees that were not positive. Precision is who bought out Doug Jenkins...haven't been in since they took over but have not heard anything (good or bad) about them. I'm not familiar with Dave's or Duello.

I would recommend Morfab Customs. They are in Union and did all the panel replacements on my car. Tell Keith I sent you.

Thanks for the suggestions. Need to check out Morfab and a few others that were suggested. Glad to know there are a few reputable shops around. I wasn't impressed with most of the one's I've talked to yet, but it's difficult to find these shops.

Tony--that's the Menace, built by Dennis Linson. I'll have to check that shop out--I've seen that car in person and few times and it's amazing. I wouldn't be afraid to take my car there after seeing the work in person.

Hey, I live close to Wentzville, in Moscow Mills.

We've had many thing media blasted at Blastco in Wentzville.

Are you in a hurry to get those quarters replaced? I could do it, but the shop is full at the moment.

      Mark,

Nice to see someone is that close to me. Very nice Chevelle. I'm not in a big hurry, but would like to have a rust-free shell back in my shop by winter. We need to talk. PM me with your contact info and maybe we can schedule a time for you to come see my project.

      Thank you,

      Nathan

I am going to have to subscribe to this thread. I am on the IL side, but am curious what people recommend. I work at a body shop in a local dealership, but used to work for Jenkins before he sold out to Precision. (I can't believe I just admitted that on the internet, oh well hopefully it will not be held against me.) Unfortunately we don't do any resto work at the dealership, or I would suggest us. From what I know of Jenkins, I can't say that I would recommend him to anybody, but that is just my .02 as a former employee. I will say that he is a good salesman, but don't know about his actual work. I worked for him for 5 yrs, and never seen any of "his" work. As far as Precision goes, I don't know anything on them except hear say from former co workers that used to work for them also.

Thanks for the feedback, Joe. You're right, Doug is a good salesman. However, his comment on repro quarters scared me a little. He said that you have to consider them a "backboard for bondo because they just don't fit right." Not a vote of confidence for his expertise in my opinion.

LMAO I can actually here him saying that. Hell, I think he could sell popsicles in hell with out a problem, but with that comment on aftermarket 1/4s that gives you an idea about his work.

If you were closer to me I'd help you out , but Wentzville is a bit far for me.
