      C6 Vette Owners....question!

How do the door handles work? Anyone have pics of the linkage(s)? I was originally planning on putting C5 handles on my 69's doors, but I'm really digging the little cutouts behind the doors on C6 Vettes. I'm wondering how difficult it would be to retrofit that onto an older car.

      Has anyone done it?

I've tried googling and haven't been able to find any pictures or diagrams on how it works.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there is any linkage. The inside and outside are just buttons, so I assume they would trigger an electronic release latch.

Interesting. I just did a google search and found this page:

      http://www.corvettepartsblog.com/cor...covers-for-c6/

Never seen the "back" of a C6 door before. Do you think GM sells just those touch switches separately? I was already planning on getting a Stardrive system that locks/unlocks when I'm within range of the car, so that should work perfectly with the C6 setup.

EDIT: A quick google search suggests that the switches are readily available for pretty cheap, gonna see if I can find them at autozone. If not, I'll head to a Chevy dealer.

This is an old thread, but didnt know if any more info was found?

ALready know you can buy the buttons, and making them work isnt a problem I dont think?

Question I have is if they are a 12v switch/button or a lower voltage? Any info on this?
