I would love to drag the Camaro out, but sadly it is in hibernation due to a hydraulic clutch issue. Maybe next time.

Matt will try to drive up the mountain sideways, should be fun to watch! May have interference due to the wife's Bday. Will have to check.

Is the run from the gas station to Newcombs ranch then back? If so that looks to be about 50 miles round trip?

Is there a gas station at the top?

I think my fuel pickup has moved and after about 70 miles of level freeway driving I need fuel or it dies in a corner.

With some spirited driving and nothing but turns I'm not certain I can make the round trip.

It's all downhill on the way back!

No gas at Newcomb's. Once you leave the Shell station there is zip until the restaurant.

Unless I misunderstand you Carl I think you typo'd your response. It's zero gas until you are back down. IIRC it's 26 miles each way and the drive down is pretty mellow. So Larry, you need good fuel supply the first 26 miles and as long as you have decent the second 26 miles you should be ok.

That said. Maybe you can ask Carl about fuel starvation solutions... ha ha ha ok I make myself smile at least.

Zip as in no civilization until one gets to Newcomb's. No gas up there. Want me to pump some from mine over to yours Larry?
