      z-bar

would like to use my z-bar in my first gen but not sure if it will work. i have a ls-2 with keisler trans, 621 bell. im thinking holley 0-offset motor mounts (stock location) and hooker dark side headers. has anyone been able to use their z-bar if so what headers and mounts did you use?

I used a z bar link on my 68 corvette, standard plates (1 1/4 forward) 6.0, Richmond 6 speed, 621 housing, 02 Z06 exhaust manifolds. I made a Z bar mount for the engine. On my 72 442 LS swap, I used the 621 bell housing z bar mount, 02 f body exhaust, 1" setback plates.

Use the search function. This has been discussed before. To the best of my memory here is what we did in my dad's 68 Camaro. We used Hedman headers with Schwartz engine plates which moved the engine an inch back further than most plates. It was necessary to relocate the rear most primary tube so it would not interfere with the cross shaft. Used a ball mount from Scoggin Dickey.
