C5 rear calipers on LS1 backing plate

Just a quick question... Will C5 rear calipers interchange with LS1 rear calipers? I heard that the C5's will fit in the LS1 abutment brackets, but I would like somewhat more of a confirmation before I go buying everything.

I'd go with whatever you can get cheapest, TBH. I'm not 100% but I'd say they're pretty much the same thing.

You sure on that? I'd think it's a better idea to use pads to fit the abutment.

The C5 calipers will work in LS1 abutments on LS1 backing plates. You can use C5 pads, but you will have to modify the C5 rattle clips a bit to get them to work.

I literally just did this 3 days ago, but haven't installed the pads yet. I have C5 pads so I'll let you know how they work.

      Thanks guys!
Ive been reading that the vette calipers are pressure cast vs the f-body calipers being gravity cast. Slightly stronger, and there are some good deals on ebay for all 4 vette calipers since I will be going C5 up front as well.
