Removing the front subframe on a 79 Camaro...

Where is the best place to support the body shell of my 79 Camaro to remove the front sub-frame? Everything is out of the car. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks,
      George

The factory pinch welds will support the body just fine on a 2nd gen F-body...

I used some small lengths of timber right along next to the inner sill panels and supported the body under there with jack stands.
If the rear axle is still in the car, support it under there...if not, support it further back under the rear frame rails.
If you just put stands near the forward spring eye mount area (where most people would) the body becomes very tail heavy without the frame and will most likely tip backwards if you even lean on it.
