L92 not fitting in frame any help?

so i have a l92 and im puting it into my stock subframe in a 69 camaro i got the trans dapt 1" set back mounts the right side fits fine and the drivers side is an inch away from fitting.... so i made plates under the frame mounts out of 1/2" steel now the mounts are alot closer is this normal?

Do you have any pics? What motor mounts are you using with the transdapt plates?

The looks like short engine stands and motor mounts for tall stands. My Transdapt adapters had motor mounts for tall engine stands. You need to either get a set of motor mounts for short engine stands or get tall stands to work with the motor mounts you have. The correct motor mounts will fit snuggly on the stands. Those mounts probably have about a 1/4 inch gap.

no you should get the proper small block chevy frame mounts/ frame perches. They sit up a bit higher.
