Yes, take the hood off, mark your holes before you do so though to keep the alignment where you have it. Some guys will do this by drilling a 1/8" hole in each side of the bracket/hood. When you go to put it back on, put a rivet in there and bolt it up!



Too bad you aren't closer, I have two engine stands that I am storing until I get another motor on there, I'd let ya borrow one!
