      F-Body SubFrame

Looking at my Dirt Bike and than looking at my TA has got me thinking.
My Honda Dirt Bike is a all aluminum frame bike
      This may sound crazy
does anyone make a boxed aluminum sub frame for a Fbody
couple hundred pounds off the car makes it that much faster

The idea was kicked around and from initial research it was determined that the wall of the frame would have to be so thick to deal with the loads that it would come in equally as heavy.... Now a composite sub-frame would address the matter and is not an unrealistic thing to look for in the near enough future ;-)

There are some LT Wt.# sub frames that use new alum. C-6 corvette componets,The bare frame it's self weighs 95lbs. the corvette componet's are forged alum. very strong, very light wt#.Proven componets that work very well in a brand new corvette, and a older model camaro,Nova.Do some checking around I don't think you need to spend a bunch of extra money on a alum. sub frame when there are ways to save a few pound's with componet's that are already in the market place.Good Luck Scott M.
