      New project 68 Camaro SS

Ok guys, I got a call from my SIL's uncle the other day asking if I was interested in his 68 Camaro. He bought the car about 4-5 years ago and I've seen it once. I do remember that I felt he overpaid for it based on several attention to detail issues but overall the car looked clean.
For the past couple of years the car has all but sat covered in the driveway.

I am going to look at the car tomorrow and really need advice on what to look for, especially in the area of the body and rust.
He is offering me the car on a really sweet deal but I am in no position to tackle rust and panel replacement issues.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially from the Camaro Guru's here.

1st gen car....besides the normal exterior panel locations....look for rust in the dash top and windscreen corners, around the rear windscreen lower channel...the whole channel if its a vinyl top car. Check the trunk seal lip and lower pan, the trunk drop-off panels, rear frame rails, the rear valance (inside and out). Check the body mounts - usually rotted if no-one's thought to replace them. 1st gen subframes often get damaged under the front centre section of the main crossmember....check the smaller crossmember in front of the main one isn't banged up and pushed out of shape.
Check the floor pans, especially the toe board areas.
