Chevy Check Engine Codes HELP PLEASE!!
I have a 1996 Cheyenne V6/5 speed that has been flashing the "check/service engine light" for awhile and today I had the mechanic at work scan it. He came back with several codes but I wasn't there for him to explain them to me. Can anyone break down the codes for me?
1.P0102 Mass Air Flow Sensor or Volume Air Flow Sensor
2.Circuit Low Input (not sure if this is part of the MAF sensor)?
3.P1406 Undefined Code?
4.P0700 (PD) Transmission
5.Control System P1192 (PD) (not sure if this is part of the transmission)
I'm not sure if these are in correct order, I'm going off of what he wrote down and how he listed them. Thanks in advance.Jose (Joe)

04-17-2011 #2circuit codes are usually a bad fuse or wiring test for the maf that you have a ground an 12v+ the last wire would be the signal wire ,but with that many codes I would check the fuse box for bad fuses or corrotion
p0102 circuit fault code maf
p1406 circuit fault egr
p0700 apears to be a tranny circuit code too
p1192 same
so just look at your wiring first and make sure your batt terminals and grounds are okLast edited by gEtyOpAPiOn; 04-17-2011 at 07:14 AM. Reason: added info
