      Corvette fuel filter question.

Can you use 3/8 rubber hose and hose clamps on the c5 corvette filter?

Not recommended. The ends are smooth and not intended for use with rubber hose (barbed ends).

Russel and others make a 5/16" and 3/8" quick disconnect fittings. The pump puts out a lot of pressue to the 3/8", but you can use a hose clamp on the 5/16" return.

Thanks Garys 68, that is the fitting I need. I have the -6 adapter on the return side, but there isn't room on the filter for two -6 adapters. So I'll get one of those 3/8 fittings for the supply side. I bought one of the plastic hoses, but needed several adapters to hook it to the fuel tank.
