reverse lights wiring

Hi all,



After installing a set of headers in my '69 Camaro, I had to remove the reverse lockout linkage up to the steering column. As you know, this also causes the backup lights to constantly be turned on.

I know this issue has been solved before many times, so does anyone have a painless way of altering the wiring so that my backup lights only come on when I'm in reverse?

Any recommended switch I can install on the trans (it's a Muncie M21)?

How should I disconnect it at the steering column?

Any re-wiring tips?
