Another great issue. Steve, you were right...Micheal Cooper's $10,000 Nova was just the story I've been jumpin up and down about for some time. Great to see a budget Pro-Touring car thrown into the mix.

Jay Heath did a fine job on the story, however...do you know if he's going to be publishing a glossary soon because I will need some help with the following words;

- Jitney
- Fungible
- Elide
- Amenability
- Abet
- Duende
- Limned
- Countenance
- Cleave
- Contretemps
- Appellation
- Leonine
- Profligacy
- Evinced

The guy's a terrific writer but........for the love of God. I guess I'm just too stupid.

Yea, my wife and I both had dictionary.com up while reading the story.. the way he does it is almost poetic but some of the words are just plain "out there"

Glad you liked the Nova story.. not bad for a 17 year old kid.. the cover.. a feature AND an interview. See, you don't have to spend a ton to build a cool car so long as you are willing to invest sweat (and you have really great help, his dad)..

Oh, and his Nova is more streetfighter than pro-touring.. sort of a pro-street/pro-touring hybrid.. love the stance!

August issue of PHR? I just received my July issue last week. When you guys discuss a current article in the magazine, I'm like, what the (*&^%%$&* going on. I'm a new subscriber. Maybe I'm one of the last ones to get mailed out. LOL

I just got my August issue yesterday. It seems like I get mine 3-4 days after it hits the stands, here in NC. But, at least I get it.

Got the JUNE issue a week ago

,so please dont discuss the august version.

Maybe next time,i wont subscribe,because the paper stores have them 2-3 weeks before i get the magazine.

And i cant wait that long,so i buy it instead.........

maybe the postman is busy reading our magazine during lunch breaks! I get mine about 2 weeks late too. One time, my magazine cover was ripped up when I got it.

You just have to try these words in your own sentence. Then they make sense. Here, I'll go first:

I was riding through the Appellation mountains on my jitney when my girlfriend Elide passed me some mushrooms. Lemme tellya, they were quite fungible. Then my homeboy, Duende, tried them and agreed that they offered a high degree of amenability (That means they were good). He said, Abet you I can eat the whole bag.

See? It's not that bad.

Steve....the Countenance you've shown in your Limned example of this most Leonine situation has been an absolute breath of fresh air. If I only had the Amenability, the Profligacy, the Fungible Duende to have approached it in this matter, perhaps this unfortunate Jitney of sorts would not have been necessary.
