I think that cars that retain all their original trim and appearance are best with a classic styled wheel in a modern size. Think classic Cragars in a 17x8, or American racing saltflats, or 200s.
The boyd's have a very open look, sorta demand the brake and caliper be visually appealing too; depending on what you have there now.
StuHaving a 10 second Civic must be just like coming out of the closet; you'll surprise a bunch of people but you're still gay.
