I will be going to this event without my GTO. I usually learn something new, add or change an idea for my car based on what I have seen. I understand this is an excellent show. It is a learning curve each and every time I see a quality car. R.P.

I am plannonig on being there Friday only w/o a show car, but I hope to have my Sonoma GT project road-worthy for the trip.

It is the best Good-Guys show on the tour and crowns the car of the year so all of the big-dollar builds are there on display!!!

This is THE Good Guys show. This is like the King Ding-A-Ling of shows. The Super Bowl of shows. The Columbus, Ohio show last year had over 5000 custom/vintage/pro-touring/racing/roadsters/etc...cars registered to attend from all over the world, and it keeps getting bigger. If cars are not premiered at the Detroit Autorama, they are premiered here because the winner can really make a name for him/herself. They take over the entire Ohio State Fairgrounds which is the largest (i think) in the nation.

During the evenings people gather around the hotels and sit in lawn charis and watch them cruise up and down the streets. The awesome thing, is that most of the cars are actually driven and NOT trailer queens.

Venders from all over the world show here and magazines show up to get a large portion of their yearly feature cars from here. You can find just about anything.

The vehicle cut-off is either 1972 or 1973.

      Here is the info:

There is also a nice sized "For Sale" section that can get you in a lot of trouble

We selected this show as the target completion date for the reserrection of my LS1 69 Camaro. At just over a year since we launched into the project (doing 99% of the work myself) we have been busting our butts to get this car finished and flogged out in time to drive from N.E. Florida to the GG show in Columbus. My wife has family in the area to keep her entertained while I do the show.

We now have about 500 miles on the car and I am still working out bugs. The goal is to drive all the way there and back with my 1 year old and wife and we pray for ZERO problems (but will be prepared with tools and parts). Plan on making the trip each way non-stop to fit it into my tight vacation schedule.

This is a BIG deal for me considering all the history I have with this car and the fact I have gone out on a limb to create some under the hood visual affects of my own design.

Hope to catch you guys there. My cell is 904-502-7026. Be happy to hook up with some of you!

I always assumed that it was the best show period. Am I missing something somewhere?
