How do I search for posts with specific words?

Right now I get a list of threads. I want to see the exact words all in a single post, so I can click at that exact post number. Used to do it on the old site, can't figure it out here.

      Thanks.

Did you try the advance search options?

I was using advancec, but always trying to do it in "Search Multiple Content Type" tab. I didn't notice the "Single Search Content " tab before.

Apprently only the single search allows you to show results in posts instead of threads.

      Thanks.

Not sure if this is the same thing you're asking about but I've never figured out how to search for a string of words. I've tried including " " around the string, using + in between words, etc. but can't figure it out. An example would be when I tried doing research on Howell Engine Development harnesses. I got everything from Bill Howell references to land development. how can I narrow the 100's of threads down to those that contain the EXACT words I'm searching for>

      Thanks
